Event description

Nature connection should be a right — not a privilege

Children who feel connected to nature are happier and healthier. Yet one in three urban children rarely visits green spaces, with those from lower-income and minoritised backgrounds most affected. We know that nature improves wellbeing, boosts learning, and strengthens communities. The questions are: how do we make it accessible for every child? And help them take action for nature?

Join us and the RSA as we explore this question with panellists – why nature matters for all children and how educators, practitioners, and local leaders are making it happen on the ground.

You’ll hear:

  • Stories of what’s working
  • Practical approaches you can adapt in your own context
  • Honest reflections on the challenges and barriers faced
  • Clear next steps and resources to support your journey.

Together, we’ll explore how to turn ambition into action and make nature connection a reality for every child.

Speakers

  • Cathy Pineo, Head of Regenerative Learning & Design at the RSA, alongside Stewards delivering Playful Green Planet in their own neighbourhoods.
