Nature Towns and Cities is a coalition of organisations committed to bringing nature, heritage and green space back to the UK’s urban areas for everyone's benefit.

Making the case for investment

To help places become investment ready and unlock funding, we will help you develop project pipelines and cases for investment. We're inviting funders and investors to join us in supporting the transformation of towns and cities across the UK.

Building capacity in towns and cities

Grants to provide much needed capacity, within local government and their partners, have been made available by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Applications have now closed and successful projects/grantees will be announced in July 2025.

Founded by major national organisations

The programme was set up by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, National Trust and Natural England.

It builds on the legacy of the Future Parks Accelerator, a previous partnership between The National Lottery Heritage Fund and the National Trust, as well as closely aligning with Natural England’s Green Infrastructure Framework and standards.
